INSURRECTION (NL) offers the ultimate blend between brutality, melody and catchiness with their raging melodic death/thrash. Hailing from the north of the Netherlands, founded in 2008, these Dutch thrashers released their critically acclaimed 6-track debut EP ‘Catatonic’ on Big Bad Wolf Records in 2015. With subsequently doing a whole shitload of shows promoting the release in Holland and Germany.
Following up their successful debut EP, Insurrection released their new album – entitled ‘Circles Of Despair’ on August 30th 2019 on Big Bad Wolf/Headbangers Records. Insurrection worked on ‘Circles Of Despair’ with producer Fredrik Nordström, who has previously helmed efforts from In Flames, At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir and dozens of others. As for the strikingly dark album art, the group linked up with Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (Oceans Of Slumber, Evergrey. The Crown a.o.).
Acclaimed by the critics for their killer songwriting skills on the new album and with a new release coming up as soon as possible, the band is eager to display their talent on stage as much as they can. With more than 100 shows played in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland so far, Insurrection is no longer an underground secret. Sharing stages with metal icons such as Destruction, King Diamond, Cradle Of Filth, Suffocation and Hypocrisy amongst others during the past few years, Insurrection is ready to rise like the tide out of the underground!
