Deafened To Death is a hardcore band from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. The band was founded by Dylan Luci Wolters (guitar) and Olav Spin (bass) from the grinding deathcore band Kletus, and was initially a side project during the COVID pandemic in 2020. Jim Smit (drums) joined the band shortly after the formation. Arend Rondaan (vocals) joined the band in the beginning of 2024.

D.T.D plays straight forward and raw hardcore with metal influences. There’s no need for conceptual or pretentious thinking. It’s just hardcore. Music and lyrics are straight from the heart.

D.T.D honors the old school hardcore by not just playing the riffs, but also by tearing the stage apart.

Their debut album was released on June 21st, 2024.

Blossom & Wither is a four-piece instrumental post-metal band from The Netherlands. The band combines various characteristics from different genres: catchy syncopated rhythms and overwhelming blast beats, alternated with ambience and elongated post-rock compositions — resulting in a mixture of layered melodic parts and heavy, pounding riffs. Kletus is a band from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and was formed in 2018. Inspired by grindcore, hardcore and deathcore, the band has so far released the self titled debut album, and single “Curb” in 2020. Recently a brand new EP “To Distrust” was released in 2023, mixed and mastered by Mendel Bij de Leij.

Kletus delivers filthy, raw and catchy riffs, combined with the hellish vocals of Ðylan Lvci Wolters. Fueled by inspiration from fiction and reality they are ready to violently trash anything resembling a stage. Pumping basslines like a punch in the guts provide the foundation for the chainsaw downtuned guitars. Injected by freakishly tight drums and frenzied deep fried vocals complete the audio onslaught called Kletus.

Unmaker, a Dutch heavy metal band, emerged from the picturesque province of Drenthe, Netherlands. Founded in 2019, right before the Covid-pandemic, the group brought together a diverse mix of musicians who shared a common passion for heavy music and a desire to create something unique. The band’s lineup consists of experienced musicians, each bringing their individual influences and styles, which combined to form the signature sound of Unmaker.

The founding members of Unmaker included guitarist and singer Rowan Helmich, guitarist and singer Bram van Luik and drummer Tom de Vries. Each member brought their own musical influences, which ranged from classic heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to modern metalcore and progressive rock. With bassist Rowan Hofsteenge later completing the bands’ formation, They laid the groundwork for Unmaker’s sound—one that combines melodic elements with the heaviness of metal.

Breakthrough: “Scavenge”

In 2024, Unmaker released their debut single, “Scavenge”, which marked a significant turning point in their career. The single will be followed up by their upcoming EP “Plague Mankind”, Centered around a scorched Earth where mankind has descended into chaos and destruction, Unmaker showcases their versatility of agressive, melodic riffs and heavy chugging with a clean, almost emotional title track. Lyrically, Unmaker often explored themes of emotional struggle, demographics and controversy.

Traversus is a young progressive band that crosses the borders of hardrock and metal. The band from the north of the Netherlands draws its inspiration from bands like Leprous, Haken and Karnivool, and translates this to a no nonsense heavy band with a female on front.

The band released its debut EP “The Only Way Is Through” in September 2023. On this record the band voices sharp criticism about human behaviour. Sensitive subjects are brought up about growing inequality and what a lack of connection can do to the human psyche. The heavy riffs, harmonies and complex rhythms are complemented by the more floating vocals and strong refrains, which keeps the music manageable, memorable and even a little catchy despite its complex nature.

In 2022 Traversus was selected for Hit the North, the talent program of Eurosonic. This gave the band the chance to gather all the info they needed to give their career a kickstart and it enabled them to record their debut EP under the guidance of renowned metal producer Joost van den Broek (Who produced albums for Epica and Powerwolf). In addition to this the band grew really close both personally and musically. The band is powered by respect and the idea that they really have something to say.

It’s a band of extremes, where a lot of things can coexist. Love and grief, happiness and anger, heavy riffs and sensitive lyrics, tears and moshpits. To be honest, the band thinks the world is going to shit. The rich get richer, while the poor get poorer. The human urge to always want more at the expense of our planet is concerning and the band thinks you should be mad about that!
