Fearwell – An all-star melodic metal band from Leiden, formed in 2020.Dive down the Well of Fear and take the musical journey through fast mind-blowing guitars, piercing harmonies, machine gun drums, bombastic bass, virtuoso vocals, epic orchestra’s and relatable lyrics that touch the soul. Fearwell doesn’t fit into one genre, instead it unleashes a fury of many influences. Symphonic/melodic death metal, Thrash metal, Power metal, Progressive death metal, Heavy metal, black metal, Neo-classical metal and even Film, Classical and Game Music. A supernova of these influences that create an original band with memorable, yet unique music. You will be surprised by the band’s diverse and quality debut-album Well of fear. A nearly hour long masterpiece. An eruption of heavy molten guitars, drums and vocals. Tempered by a tsunami of Catchiness, bass, orchestra’s and Philosophical lyrics. To form a solid, balanced and (fear)well crafted rock that is Well of Fear. Dive down the Well of Fear and journey further through the album to understand your “Philosopher’s Mind”. All “Alone” until you reach the “Ocean of Anger” and swim into the “Bay of Matanzas”. Fearwell will bring a full frontal assault to your nearest venue. The band has a lot of stage performance and experience to give a night to remember! One that will make you say “Fearwell” instead of “Farewell”. Read more on www.fearwell.com

RELEASE THE RIVER is a blackened death metal power trio founded late 2019 hailing from Leiden, The Netherlands. Devastating grooves and blasting riffs pave the way for a new era of brutality, where psychedelic atmospheres meet powerful metal. The three core members of the dismantled band Illusionless have risen from the ashes to continue the path to create Leiden’s finest metal.

Early 2022 saw the unveiling of Spirit Corrupt, the first EP of RELEASE THE RIVER. Spirit Corrupt takes the listener on a journey past ruins, cults, history and dark forests in the search of mankind’s corruptive nature.

The band’s sound is characterized by the fusing of deep diving groove riffs with the atmospheric tendencies of black metal. Drenched with a healthy dose of death metal RELEASE THE RIVER seeks to create intense heavy music with hidden meaning.

RELEASE THE RIVER is:

Zeno de Jong – Lead vocals, Guitars & Synths Jeroen Serdijn — Bass, Backing Vocals & Spoken word Joshua Wells – Drums

SHUULAK is a Dutch Metal band whose otherworldly songs explore man’s obsession with things that would only destroy him. Unfettered by trends and uncompromising in its pursuit of excellence; their music stands as a testament to the undying power of heavy metal.

Eyes aglow with the fires of creation, SHUULAK – Eve Laetitia (lead guitar), Ricardo Kroon (rhythm guitar), Pien de Beer (bass), Angelo Tower (drums) and Bastiën Baron (vocals) – fervently stoke its flames.

In 2014 a friendship formed during previous musical collaborations lays the foundation for what’s to be SHUULAK. A shared, deep-rooted interest in alchemy and the occult provides fertile ground for inspiration.

Constantly challenging themselves, the bands members hone their craft. Either refining or discarding what holds them back, nothing is deemed sacred in making their vision a reality. Drawing from experience, the band does its own recording, photography, video editing and visual design.

2017 sees the bands debut release: ‘Nigredo’ (EP). It is the first installment of a tetralogy, which tells of alchemical enlightenment. It is followed up with ‘Albedo’ (MCD, 2018), ‘Citrinitas’ (EP, 2019) and finally ‘Rubedo’ (EP, 2020).

Its songs tell of the alchemists’ path to enlightenment and the myriad ways desires for greatness inevitably end in madness and depravity.

Bastiën Baron (vocals) Eve Laetitia (lead guitar) Ricardo Kroon (rhythm guitar) Pien de Beer (bass) Angelo Tower (drums)

Diggeth – Zero Hour in Doomtown

Take 50 years of Hard Rock, Metal, Southern Rock and a bit of Progressive Rock; Diggeth will digest it and will spew out their mix of all these genres in songs with hooks, heaviness and groove!” (from their bio)

The Diggeth trio plays oldschool heavy music and create a big and heavy sound which is exceptional for a 3-piece band. Founded in Dinxperlo, a small town in Gelderland with just 7000 inhabitants, Diggeth is a world-class band that has been able to play with the legends of old like Megadeth, Slayer, Phill Campbell and His Bastard Sons and Sacred Reich. That’s quite the achievement for any band, let alone a trio from the Netherlands. In 2019 they released ‘Gringos Galacticos’ which had been the turning point for the band. And while their USA tour had to be postponed because of Covid, they ‘kept on Diggin’. They’ve just released their 4th album ‘Zero Hour in Doomtown’. Let’s ‘dig’ into it!
