2 Years have passed since their debut album “Hinterlands” (Painted Bass Records) has been released, but now the Dutch melancholic (post-doom) metal band VETRAR DRAUGURINN is back! “The Night Sky” is a collection of melodic, diverse and dynamic tracks, in which the subjects Loneliness and Death are its solid foundation. Heavy 8-stringed guitars, a growling bass and colossal drums together with the dark, enchanting voice of Marjan Welman (Autumn, Ayreon) form the mix that surpasses any genre. The band, formed by guitarist/songwriter Eric Hazebroek (Pilgrimage, ex-Stream of Passion), exists since 2016 and has walked the narrow path of odd musical choices ever since. Conjuring their own sound by combining a wide variety of influences from the doom, gothic, and atmospheric metal. Unique and free from boundaries. With an experienced and talented line-up, which besides Eric and Marjan is made up of Jim van de Kerkhof (drums // ex-All For Nothing), Thomas Cochrane (guitar // Dystopia), and Arjan Heijden (bass // ex-Acrid), VETRAR DRAUGURINN’s aim is to write honest and humble music, with a newly found and mature approach. “The Night Sky” will be the first release through their own label Dark Skies Coming. With layered compositions that range from tranquil oases to swirling riffs Inhalo is as diverse as an alternative progressive rock band can be. A seamless blend of serene and ferocious elegantly held together by an emotional performance. Tension and release, like a ballet dancer gracefully tiptoeing on a volcanic caldera.

Inhalo is no newcomer. All of the band members have earned their stripes over the years playing tours all over the continent in bands such as A Liquid Landscape, Ivy’s Dream and The Heaven’s Devils, supporting bands like Karnivool, Riverside and Marillion.

After years of working on their music with scene icons like Jochem Jacobs (Textures) and Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus), the four Dutchmen have now teamed up with Construction Records for the release of their debut album.
