Biography
Established in the Netherlands in 1997, Fenris has a long history of combining thunderous viking metal with scorching black/death metal. At times blindingly fast, sometimes atmospheric, but always melodic and dynamic. With strong roots in Nordic and Germanic mythology, and some of the lyrics in their mother tongue, the mood set is that of ancient peoples, their hopes and beliefs and their wars and hardships. To date, three albums have been released: “Offerings to the Hunger” (2001), “Ordeal” (2005) and “…en doodenakkers tot den horizon” (2016).

In their existence Fenris has shared the stage with Enslaved, Sear Bliss, Rotting Christ, Tyr, Einherjer, SkyForger and many others.

Fenris is (from left to right): Chris – bass, Rick – drums, Gilbert – vocals, Joris – guitars, Bas – guitars

    Bio:

    n

Phoenix Ashes have brought the house down in every venue they played. Bringing the same energy for 40 people in an attic in Indonesia, 100 people in an abandoned warehouse in Nizhny Novgorod (RU) or for 15.000 people at the liberation festival in their home country of the Netherlands.

Combined with their energy on stage, their high energy songs about injustice, staying true to yourself and standing up for what you believe in, have drawn tens of thousands of people that have seen Phoenix Ashes perform. Playing over 150 shows all across the globe has led to a loyal fanbase across several continents.

Starting as a zeroes oriented post hardcore formation, their sound became more progressive over the years. Uniquely combining layered multi-vocals and electronic components to the heavy music helps Phoenix Ashes develop a sound of their own. The band manages to make an impact both live and in the music they record. Their reputation has landed them to open for, and play festivals with, some of their all time favorite musical heroes. This includes bands like Funeral for a friend, Enter Shikari and A Day To Remember.

In 2019 they surprised the world with a sold out, fully acoustic anniversary show. The live recording of that show successfully landed them a spot on many festivals. It would have been a new chapter in the success of the band if it were not for the global Covid-19 pandemic. The band went on a three year hiatus from the public domain although they never stopped on writing new material.

Their first official show back in the spotlight was opening the Sunday stage of the festival The Rock Circus in November 2023 where they shared the stage with Lorna Shore, Electric Callboy, Halestorm, Black Veil Brides and many other acts to entertain over 5000 of visiting metal heads.

In 2024 Phoenix ashes has released new songs leading up to an EP sceduled for november 2024.

    Bio:

Breakpoint Nine creates heavy rock the like of which Motörhead would not be ashamed of. Everything revolves around a cool riff or groove but no more than strictly necessary. The reinforced foundation is cemented by Ywe’s drums and Michiel’s bass. The heavy crack of Siger’s guitar and the raw voice of Matthias complete the heavy structure. This raw rock ‘n roll approach is supplemented with up to four voices and this is the bases for very dynamic songs.
Together with producer and friend Guido Aalbers (QOTSA, Paceshifters) that dynamic sound has been transferred to our album ‘#NO’. The band opted for the classical method of playing together in one room, which makes the album sparkle like a live performance
