Wednesday the 14th of August, Musicon welcomed German thrash metal band Exumer to the stage. Exumer brought along some friends, to complete the thrash metal-filled night. We were of course excited to see Headless Hunter on that bill. Seth was there to take some pictures. Check out her photography skills below.

Metalheads @ Into the Grave (part 2)

The Into The Grave festival is a small metal festival at a unique location, in the middle of Leeuwarden. With two stages there is plenty of room to discover new metal bands, besides the obvious headliners. This year the festival was held from June 7th to June 9th. MetalFromNL was there to make a report and take pictures. See if we captured your metalhead spirit!

Nephylim live @ Into The Grave (07.06.2024)

English below

Nephylim live @Into The Grave

The gentlemen of Nephylim (Melodic Death Metal) are opening the Reaper Stage on Friday. They were announced with the fact that they haven’t played together since February. However, you wouldn’t notice this at all!

They start their show off strong by headbanging in unison. They are true showmen on stage. The singer also gave the other artists their moments in the spotlight. I personally find that very nice to see, as a band is more than just the frontman.

As soon as the first notes started to play, more and more people began to gather, which is well deserved. They played really well. The only slightly annoying thing was that the frontman addressed the audience in both Dutch and English, constantly switching between the two. I think I was the only one bothered by this because the crowd went wild. Once the first mosh pit started, it continued non-stop.

This is not the first time I’ve seen Nephylim and I hope it won’t be the last. Because everything about them is just right; they sound great and look great too!
