Up The Irons is the ultimate Iron Maiden Tribute band.
Unlike your regular coverband, we put on a spectacular, high-energy show complete with stage props, effects and on stage “Eddie” monsters that simulate a perfect Iron Maiden show. Combine that with note for note accuracy and musicianship and the “win-win” combination of 5 wild Iron Maiden freaks playing the original “Iron Maiden” hits and you have an unbeatable formula that guarantees a night to remember.

Blending the darkness and heaviness of diverse types of metal with the accessibility found in pop music, Myth of Origin is a five-piece force to be reckoned with! A shared belief that combining powerful music with other elements, such as an energetic live performance and additional visuals make a great impact, they will always strive to make shows that leave a lasting impression.

Myth of Origin was formed in 2018, with the ambition to explore the darker and harsher side of music. This resulted in the debut EP ‘Rites of Passage’, released in 2019. Since then, ambition only grew and in 2021, recordings for a new and complete album started. With the help of producer Daan Janzing (Maiden United, My Favourite Scar, and others) their sound will be future-proof!

The album, Sane Asylum, will be available on all streaming platforms on January 27th.

Be prepared to experience Myth of Origin!

Thammuz was founded in June 2020 in the Netherlands. The band consists of members from the former Dreckneck and Fuzzboar. Dreckneck was started as a stoner rock and roll band in 2015. Jip, the second guitarist joined the band in 2019. After 5 years of playing gigs and recordings, they unfortunately split up. The drummer (Tinus), as well as guitarist and vocalist (Harm) and the second guitarist (Jip), decided to start a new project. In just a few days, a new bass player was found in Jurren. He played bass in Fuzzboar before, but was also looking for a new project. In just two weeks, after a few rehearsals, it was time to hit the studio. In one weekend, Thammuz’ first album “Into the Great Unknown” was created. It was released on November the 18th in 2020. The reviews were great and the album ended up in second place on the international Doom Charts in November 2020. The genre was described as stoner rock and doom with psychedelic influences, as well as some grunge and blues. After this great success a second lockdown came, so no gigs were to be played. Thammuz took this time to write new songs. After 1,5 years, they finally played their first gig and went back into the studio. This resulted in the second album “Sons of the Occult”, which was released on Argonauta Records on 28th of October 2022. Thammuz managed to get into the Doom Charts for the second time. Sons of the Occult is described as gloomier and darker, but with the same diversity as its predecessor.

Baris Dai is an independent musician based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. As a versatile guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, he writes music with an instrumental storytelling approach, primarily in progressive rock/metal genre.

Inspired by the seasonal changes in human behaviour, he initiated the “Ambient Conditions” series with his first official release as a solo artist. The first instalment of the series, “Ambient Conditions, Pt. 1”, mixes the sound of modern prog acts like Plini, David Maxim Micic and Intervals with ambient elements and soundscapes.

The first EP received very good comments from music blogs and the audience. In Summer 2021, Baris was invited by Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) to play his EP in its entirety at Freak Guitar Camp in Sweden, where he shared the stage with modern guitar heroes such as Ola Englund (Feared, The Haunted) and Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry, ex-Meshuggah).

The new EP, “Ambient Conditions, Pt. 2”, is a concept album consisting of three connected songs. Following the cold soundscape of “Ambient Conditions, Pt. 1”, Baris Dai sculpts a more energetic and uplifting atmosphere in his new EP, featuring a broad spectrum of progressive music. From Symphonic Prog to Progressive Metal, you can hear influences of acts like Camel, Dream Theater and Haken in “Ambient Conditions, Pt. 2”.

After a series of pre-release concerts in the second half of 2022, Baris is planning a mini tour with his trio (Edgar Rodriguez on bass, Sami Al-Abbar on drums) for this year.

Bio:

Founded in 2009, it wasn’t until 2012 when the band’s first public recording, The Occult Waters EP, reared its shadowy head. Although The Occult Waters was the band’s debut, the seemingly “new” Lucifericon was actually comprised of a number of metal scene veterans, its members having done time in Destroyer 666, Pentacle, Malicious Dream, and Excision among others. Naturally, at this stage, the quartet deeply understood the Metal of Death and proceeded to offer a unique, more atmospheric twist on it. Four years later followed another EP, Brimstone Altar, to further critical acclaim. Here, Lucifericon’s death metal was blackened to a crisp, its robust recording allowing every evil nuance to spill from the soundfield and further bewitch the eardrums.

With that envious foundation judiciously set,in 2018 at last arrives Lucifericon’s first full-length recording, Al-Khem-Me. Tongue-twistingly titled but aptly so, Al-Khem-Me keeps apace with the developments of Brimstone Altar and further masters the art of the “patient payoff.” Its blackened DEATH literally explodes from the very first seconds, but the band’s songwriting builds detail upon subtle detail despite the obvious aggression employed. Utterly gnarled and gnarling, the lurch ‘n’ lunge across Al-Khem-Me creates a bewilderingly slipstreaming effect, dragging the listener into a distant, nameless vortex, but always with a keen knack for memorability. For above all, this is METAL, unbending and unyielding, forged in fire and weilded as a weapon; it just so happens that Lucifericon’s is one fully set on attack, its intensity steeped in the grand traditions of late ’80s / early ’90s death.
